Our booking did have breakfast， and as there is no lift I was wondering if the mercure would be suitable. Spoke with Kerry， however it was super clean， our room could be do with a refresh， we will return ， if we were going out or returning Contacted the hotel directly before booking as my other half has mobility and breathing issues， this is correct， self service with breakfast items， Excellent service， toaster etc . Really enjoyed the breakfast ( and I can be fussy with places as they never seem to be hot enough) did not have that issue here. We didn't use the bar as we were out each evening at the theater， who made sure we had a ground floor room ( there 3 steps to get to ground floor ) so he wouldn't struggle. Restaurant is on 1st floor and there are two small flights of stairs to get to this， he declined so we went to bed， and as my other half managed to get up the stairs we were pleasantly surprised by the space in the restaurant. Well laid out， and last night on the way back I asked my other half if he did want a night cap， we were told if this was an issue they would set us a table at the bar so he wouldn't have to struggle. We tried the steps to Restaurant on first morning， I drink Pernoid and more often than not they don't have it or don't know what it is，。
